Dijlah was built by people who had spent years waiting on late fuel deliveries. We started with six tankers and a promise that a delivery window would mean something. In 2008 fuel in Iraq arrived when it arrived. Contractors planned around uncertainty, kept weeks of stock they could not afford, and still lost days to a truck that never came. Dijlah started with six tankers and a single differentiator: a delivery window we would be judged on. في عام 2008 كان الوقود في العراق يصل متى ما وصل. كان المقاولون يخططون حول عدم اليقين ويحتفظون بمخزون لأسابيع لا يقدرون على كلفته، ومع ذلك يخسرون أياماً بسبب شاحنة لم تصل. بدأت دجلة بستة صهاريج وميزة واحدة: نافذة تسليم نُحاسَب عليها.
Keeping that promise meant owning the parts of the chain that break. First the trucks, then the customs licence, then the terminals. We install and run the tank, pump, meter and telemetry at your camp or plant, then top it up automatically before it reaches your reorder level. The operator was buying fuel from four suppliers across nine rig sites. Deliveries clashed, stock levels were guesses, and two rigs had already stood down waiting on diesel that was somewhere on the Basra road. كان المشغّل يشتري الوقود من أربعة مجهّزين لتسعة مواقع حفر. تتضارب عمليات التسليم، ومستويات المخزون مجرد تقديرات، وقد توقفت حفارتان بالفعل بانتظار ديزل كان في مكان ما على طريق البصرة.
We put a metered tank and a telemetry unit on every pad, set a reorder threshold per rig, and let the dispatch system schedule the runs. One full compartment — 10,000 litres — for a spot delivery. Every load is sampled at the loading rack, the sample is retained for 90 days, and the compartment is sealed with a numbered seal. We supply, install and maintain bunded tanks with pumps, meters and telemetry under our on-site fuel management service.
